Focus on – Spring pastures

In this webinar Fiona covers the replacement of nutrient after the removal of silage, the importance of spring tillering for grass persistence and some trigger points for potential autumn pasture renovations.
“It’s about how do we get the best from our pastures and set them up to see summer through” said Fiona.
The messages in this webinar are equally relevant if you’ve been lucky enough to have had favourable growing conditions, whether your pastures are recovering from the dry seasons, from fire, or for some in the south of Victoria, perhaps a bit of pugging from a wet winter.
Fiona also discusses some grazing tips for native pastures, the decline in feed quality as the season progresses and managing your animal’s requirements to ensure ground cover targets are met for summer.
